Covid-19 Infected Actress Kabori in ICU

Film actress and former MP Sarah Begum Kabori has been kept at the Intensive Care Unit of Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in the capital after her condition deteriorated.

The news was confirmed by her personal assistant, Nur Uddin.

Earlier, Kabori was shifted to the hospital from Kurmitola General Hospital on Thursday as ICU services there were stretched to the limit.

She tested positive for the virus on Monday and was taken to Kurmitola General Hospital.

Kabori, who ruled the silver screen for decades, made her debut with "Sutorang" in 1964. She is also a film producer and director.

She returned to film direction after 14 years with the government-granted movie, "Ei Tumi Shei Tumi".
