Padma Bridge to Open in June Next Year: Quader

The much-talked-about Padma Bridge will open for traffic movement in June next year, said Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

Quader, also Awami League General Secretary,  said the progress of the main Padma Bridge is 93 percent and the river training work is 82 percent, the overall progress of the Padma Bridge Project is 85 percent and the Padma Bridge will open for traffic by June of 2022.

The minister made the disclosure while exchanging views with Khulna Road Zone, BRTA and BRTC officials through a video conference from his residence in Dhaka on Wednesday.
