Kazi Papul's Sentence Extended to 7 Years

The sentence of former Bangladeshi MP Kazi Shahid Islam alias Papul, who was convicted in Kuwait, has been extended to seven years from four years.

He was also fined 20 lakh Kuwaiti dinars.

An appeal court in Kuwait on Monday extended his sentence by three years.

Sources at the public prosecutor's office in Kuwait and the country's Arabic Daily Al-Kabbas reported.
