The Cabinet Division has issued a gazette extending the ongoing lockdown from April 28 to May 5.
Shops and shopping malls will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm during the time.
Besides, public-private offices and public transport will be closed as usual. However, emergency services will be in operation.
Factories will also remain open to maintain health guidelines.
Public transports will remain closed too.
Limited restrictions were in place in the country from 5-11 April to tame the second wave of the pandemic.
Later, a one-week nationwide strict lockdown was enforced from 14 April, which was then extended till 28 April.
The government, however, lifted some of the restrictions, including on shops and shopping malls.
