The Eid-ul-Fitr holiday is starting from Thursday. Every year, religious and optional holidays, including government general holidays, are finalized in the cabinet in November-December.

This time, Eid holidays for May 13, 14 and 15 were fixed on November 2. While Muslim government employees will be able to take optional leave on May 16.

Meanwhile, a rumor has been spread on social platforms that the Eid holiday will start on Wednesday. Under this circumstance, many people, including government and private employees, are getting confused.

The Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 13 or 14 May, subject to moon sighting. If Ramadan is for 29 days, then the next two days of Eid are holidays, although those days are Friday and Saturday. And if Ramadan goes for 30 days, then two days are off before and after Eid.
