Covid-19 Test Fee in Private Hospitals Reduced

The RT-PCR test fee in private hospitals for the detection of coronavirus or Covid-19 has been reduced.

Besides regular examinations, the fee will also be reduced for the foreign-bound people, according to Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

A gazette notification signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Bilkis Begum revealed this information on Tuesday.

According to the circular, from now on, general people residing in the country will pay Tk 3,000 for the test if they go to a private hospital or a designated center, which was Tk  3,500.

On the other hand, people who are intending to go abroad will have to pay Tk  2,500 for the corona test. Earlier, the fee was Tk 3,000 for the test.
