Covid-19 Claims 31 More Lives, Infects 1,290 in 24Hrs

Bangladesh has reported 31 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count to 12,076.

During this period, the fatality rate was 1.55%, according to the data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Meanwhile, 1,290 more people were infected with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which took the case count to 7,78,687.

The country's maiden cases were reported on 8 March last year and the first death from the virus was reported on 18 March.

India in the last 24 hours reported 4,120 deaths, taking the total toll to 2,58,317, while 3,62,727 fresh infections took the tally of active cases to 37,10525.

Covid-19 has claimed 3,346,613 lives worldwide and infected 161,118,841 so far, according to the data provided by Worldometer.
