Air Vice-Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan has been made the chief of Bangladesh Air Force for the next three years. 

Shaikh Abdul Hannan, who will succeed Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, will take over as the new BAF chief on June 12, a notification issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate stated on Tuesday.

Air Vice-Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan will also be promoted to Air Marshal rank with effect from June 12, 2021 afternoon.

The appointment will come into effect from 12 June, the notification further added.
