A seven-day special lockdown has been imposed in Satkhira due to the sudden spike of Covid-19 case in the frontier district. The lockdown will begin next Saturday (June 5).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the District Corona Prevention Committee on Thursday (June 3) at noon. Satkhira Civil Surgeon Md. Hussein Safayat said a seven-day special lockdown has been announced from next Saturday due to the increase in Coronavirus infections in the district.
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner SM Mostafa Kamal, Satkhira Civil Surgeon, Md. Hussein Safayat, Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman, Satkhira 33 BGB captain Lt. Col. Mohammad Al Mahmoud and others concerned were present at the District Corona Prevention Committee meeting.
