FY21-22: Freedom Fighters’ Honorarium Increased

The nation's valiant freedom fighters' monthly allowance will be increased from Tk 12,000 to Tk 20,000 in the next fiscal year.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal made the remarks while presenting the proposed budget for 2021-22 in Parliament on Thursday.
Tk 1,920 crore has been set aside by the government for this purpose.
Following the Prime Minister's statement in February that the monthly payment for Freedom Fighters would be increased, this allocation was made.
In the fiscal year 2013-2014, a
monthly grant for freedom fighters was introduced.
