Medical Board Finds No Signs of Torture on Cartoonist Kishore

A doctors’ board of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), formed to examine physical condition of cartoonist Ahmed Kabir Kishore, said it has not found any marks of torture or injuries.

The three-member medical panel filed its report with a Dhaka court in March, Media reported citing sources at the court.

Head of ENT Department Prof Dr Sheikh Nurul Fattah Rumi, Head of Orthopedics Dr Fakhrul Amin Khan and the Head of Medicine Prof Md Hafiz Sardar submitted the report to the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court on March 20.

Earlier, Cartoonist Kishore filed a case with the court against unidentified members of the law enforcement agencies on March 10.

Later on March 14, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh instructed the DMCH director to form a medical panel to examine the injuries to Kishore’s ears, legs and body.
