Bangladesh Railway will resume the operations of 19 pairs of trains from today (Wednesday).

These trains include nine pairs of intercity and ten pairs of mail and commuter trains.

Railway’s Additional directorate-general (operation) Shahadat Ali Sardar said they are resuming train services gradually.

“Some 28 pairs of intercity trains are operating across the country. We are going to resume some 19 pairs of trains including nine pairs of intercity train on Wednesday,” he said.

Passenger train services remained suspended since April 5 as the government imposed a countrywide lockdown to curb the surge in Covid-19 cases. Train services partially resumed from May 24 when the government withdrew restrictions on train services.
