Govt to Resume Vaccination Campaign with Pfizer Shots Monday

The government will begin distributing the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine at three vaccination centers across the capital from Monday.

Kurmitola General Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), and Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital are the three designated vaccination centers.

On June 1, a supply of 106,000 Pfizer vaccine doses arrived in Dhaka. The vaccine was given to the government as part of the COVAX global vaccine-sharing initiative.

On May 27, the Directorate General of the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of the Pfizer vaccination in an emergency situation.
