A van driver who was injured in a blast in the capital's Moghbazar area on Sunday died on Thursday morning, bringing the total death toll to ten.

Nurnabi, 30, from Rajbari, died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) about 4:30 a.m. while undergoing treatment. He had 90 percent burns.

The institute's coordinator, Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, confirmed the report.

Earlier, seven people were killed in the blast on Sunday, while a man died the next morning at a Panthapath hospital. Firefighters discovered the body of the building's guard from the rubble on Tuesday.

However, police filed a case with the Ramna police station on Tuesday in connection with a blast in a Moghbazar building, naming seven entities and an individual as suspects for their "negligence" that resulted in the blast.
