The case of the horrific blast in Moghbazar has been
transferred to the Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the
police. As of Saturday, 11 people had been killed in the blast.
Earlier, the police formed an investigation committee with Md
Asaduzzaman, the chief DIG of CTTC, as the head, and Rahmat Ullah Chowdhury, the
ADC of the organization, as the member secretary. A separate investigation
committee of the Fire Service and Civil Defense has also started an
investigation into the accident.
Sources said that when the members of the investigation
committee visited the area on Saturday, they saw another open gas line next to
the accident site. It is connected to the main gas line in the area. There is
another residential building next to the building from which the accident took
place. The gas line is unprotected in the corner of this building. Gas bubbles
are constantly coming out from there. Titus will be officially notified by the
investigation committee. However, several residents of the area have expressed
their concerns to the investigating officers. The CID has also started the forensic
examination of various signs recovered from the spot.
As of Saturday, 11 people had been killed in the blast. Some
of the injured are still undergoing treatment. Earlier, the police had filed a
case with the Ramna Police Station over the horrific blast in Maghbazar.
Unidentified persons have been accused in the case filed on the charge of
negligence.
According to the statement of the case, mismanagement of the collapsed building owner, old electrical transmission line, faulty gas
management, use, and negligence of unauthorized gas and electrical equipment of
tenant shopkeeper Sharma House, unauthorized use of unauthorized gas and
electrical equipment in Bengal Met And the use and negligence of electrical
equipment or the unauthorized storage of electrical electronics on the second
floor or the negligent supply of gas by the Titas Gas Company or the faulty
connection of the power transmission company or the unplanned and negligent
work of the City Corporation in front of the scene.
