Man Killed in Dhaka’s Badda Road Accident

A motorcyclist, who sustained injuries in a road accident in capital’s Badda area on Sunday night, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ilias Dhali (50), a driver working for a private company, hailing from Barishal, reports media.

Ilias used to live near Altafunnesa School in Badda with his family.

Harun-or-Rashid, sub-inspector of Badda Police Station, said the accident occurred around 11:30pm last night.

Ilias sustained critical injuries when an unidentified vehicle hit the bike from behind.

Some rickshaw pullers first took him to a nearby private hospital but he was later shifted to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 3:00am, he said.

The body was sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
