Mahmudur Rahman Momin, the founding general secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation has died.

The country's veteran hockey organizer passed away on Monday (July 5) at around 3 pm due to an old age-related disease. He was 84 years old at the time of his death.

His son Fahim Rahman told the media about his father’s death, ‘A few days ago, my father fell and fractured. He became physically weak after the surgery. There were also complications of diabetes and heart disease. 

Mohammad Yusuf, acting general secretary of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, said the Janaza would be held in front of the Wari Club after Asr prayer today.

The Bangladesh Hockey Federation has expressed deep grief, sympathy and forgiveness for the soul of the late General Secretary.
