Rubel, Shamim to Catch Zimbabwe Flight as Visa Issues Resolved

Fast bowler Rubel Hossain and batsman Shamim Patwari are joining the rest of the Bangladesh ODI and T20 squad in Zimbabwe. They could not go with other members of the team last Friday due to visa complications.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said on Wednesday (July 14th) that the visa problems of Rubel and Shamim had been resolved. As a result, they will catch a flight to Zimbabwe on Thursday morning.

Earlier, another member of the squad left for Zimbabwe on Friday to play T20 and ODI. They left Dhaka for Zimbabwe at 4 am. Aminul Islam Biplob, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed and Soumya Sarkar reached Harare the next morning via Doha and Johannesburg.

They have also started training with other members of the Bangladesh team in Harare.

The ODI series between the two teams started on July 18. Earlier today, the Tigers took to the field to play 14 one-day warm-up matches. There will be three matches on July 16, 18 and 20. All the matches will be in Harare.

The T20 series between the two teams will start on July 23 at the same venue. The next two matches will be on July 25 and 27.
