Three-Way Collision in Jashore Kills 2 Cattle Traders

Two cattle traders were killed and nine more injured in a three-way truck, pick-up van and private car collision in Arabpur Dighipara area of Jashore on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Alim, son of Mongla Mandal, hailing from Mejerhuda village in Jibannagar Upazila of Chuadanga, and Jahurul Islam, 52, son of Moslem Molla, from Goalhuda village in the Upazila, reports media.

The truck collided with Barishal-bound pick-up van carrying the victims coming from the opposite direction. The private car hit the van from behind at 6:00 am, leaving two cattle traders dead on the spot and nine others injured, said Shahjahan Ahmmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jashore Kotwali Police Station.

Two of the injured have been admitted to Jashore General Hospital. Others have returned home after receiving first aid.
