Govt Approves 78 Pvt Healthcare Providers to Use Rapid Antigen Test Kits

The government has given permission to 78 private healthcare
organizations around the country to use Covid-19 rapid antigen test kits.
The approval was given today by the Directorate General of
Health Services in an official order (DGHS).
According to the DGHS circular, rapid tests can be performed
on patients with Covid-19 symptoms and those who have come into close contact
with Covid-19 patients.
The 78 approved private organisations can use the rapid
antigen kits developed by two companies -- SD Biosensor of South Korea and
Panbio of the USA.
The maximum charge for each fast antigen Covid-19 test is Tk
700.
