Thousands of Muslims Perform Eid Prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ignoring the violent aggression of Zionist settlers, at least 20,000 Palestinians have performed the holy Eid al-Adha prayers on the grounds of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movements have warned Tel Aviv against re-invading the mosque, the first qibla of Muslims.

On Tuesday  Eid al-Adha prayers were held at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the old part of the city of Jerusalem Al-Quds.

Earlier in the day, Israeli police stormed the mosque, beating Palestinian worshipers.

The Palestinian Authority has said in a statement that Zionist Israel will be held responsible if a new conflict erupts over the Al-Aqsa mosque. Some other Muslim countries, including Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan and Pakistan, have strongly condemned Israeli atrocities against Palestinian worshipers.

Meanwhile, Ismail Haniya, head of the Hamas Politburo, warned Zionist Israel that Gaza-based resistance movements were keeping a close eye on the situation at al-Aqsa Mosque. In a message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, he said that the resistance movements are ready to give a tooth-breaking response to Israel again in case of need like the Al-Quds Shored campaign in May.

Hamas and other resistance groups fired rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip when Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in May, just days before Eid al-Fitr. Although the 11-day conflict ended with an international-brokered ceasefire, resistance movements have warned Tel Aviv against re-invading the first Muslim mosque, the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
