In the third and final T20I
match of the series at Harare Sports Club on Sunday, hosts Zimbabwe set a
194-run total for Bangladesh to chase after losing five wickets.
Wessley Madhevere's 36-ball
54, which included six bouvdaries, strengthened Zimbabwe's innings. Regis
Chakabva, the wicket-keeper batsman, fell two runs short of a half-century,
reaching 48 off 22 deliveries with six over boundaries.
Ryan Burl stayed unbeaten
on 31 off 15 balls, while Dion Myers added 23 to the total.
Medium pacer for the
occasion Soumya Sarkar was Bangladesh's most successful bowler, taking two
wickets for 19 runs in three overs.
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar
Raza won the toss for the third time in a row and chose to bat first.
The game is the series
decider because Bangladesh won the first game and Zimbabwe won the second to
maintain the series tied.
Hosts Zimbabwe will be
meant to stop Bangladesh from completing a hat-trick of titles. Bangladesh had
a successful month-long tour, winning the lone Test match and three one-day
internationals.
The tourists also enjoyed a
strong start to the T20I series, winning the first game by eight wickets, but
were beaten in the second game by Zimbabwe.
One change has been made
for Bangladesh, with spinner Nasum Ahmed replacing off-spin all-rounder Sheikh
Mahedi Hasan.
Zimbabwe, on the other
hand, has remained unchanged and is gearing up for their first multi-match
bilateral T20I series.
