BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged the government of "endangering people's life due to unplanned lockdown".

He said the government had deliberately disrupted the country's health system in the wake of the devastating global pandemic.

Their indifference, incompetence, failure and corruption have endangered the lives of the country and the people of the country today.

He made the remarks at a virtual discussion meeting on Monday (July 26) at noon.

He said this while holding a virtual remembrance meeting on the occasion of the first death anniversary of late BNP co-organizing secretary Abdul Awal Khan.

Abdul Awal Khan died of coronavirus disease on July 20 last year.

Mirza Fakhrul said that the hospitals have no beds, no oxygen, no ICU beds and no medicines. Such a situation has been created by the government. People's lives are in danger today, Coronavirus patients do not get treatment or get the wrong treatment, poor people are suffering most due to lack of treatment, it cannot be accepted anymore.
