Mayor Atiq for Keeping Environs Clean to Contain Mosquito Menace

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam today called for keeping the environment clean to check the mosquito menace in the city.

"Everyone should clean their own house spontaneously to prevent dengue, chikungunya and other mosquito-borne diseases. By this way, we can keep the environment clean," he said.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of a 10-day mosquito eradication campaign (combing drive) to prevent Aedes mosquitoes, dengue and chikungunya on the Taj Mahal Road area in city's Mohammadpur area as chief guest, reports BSS.

He urged the city dwellers and city corporations to work together to prevent dengue, chikungunya and other mosquito-borne diseases.
