The government has relaxed
the ongoing strict lockdown since August 10. From August 11, public transport
will be able to carry 100% of its passengers' capacity.
However, in case of public
transport by road, the local administration (Divisional Commissioner in City
Corporation area and Deputy Commissioner at district level) will be able to
introduce half of the total number of transports per day in consultation with
the law enforcement agencies, concerned departments/agencies, owners and
workers' organizations.
This information has been
given in the notification issued by the cabinet division on Sunday (August
8).
According to the
notification, public transport/vehicles will be able to carry the same number
of passengers on the road, rail, and waterways.
The Cabinet Division has
issued a circular relaxing the existing strict lockdown to keep the country's
economic activities afloat and considering the overall situation.
