MMCH Counts 17 More Covid-19 Deaths

Seventeen more patients died at Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Monday morning, according to the district's health officials.

“Of the deceased, nine were Covid-19 positive while eight others died with Covid-like-symptoms,” said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, spokesperson of corona unit of MMCH.

Among the fatalities, eleven were from Mymensingh, three from Netrokona, one each from Sherpur, Sirajgonj, and Gazipur districts, reports media. 

With newly admitted 40 patients, a total of 420 patients are undergoing treatment against 230 beds while 22 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, he added.

Some 76 other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.

Meanwhile, Dr Nazrul Islam, Civil Surgeon of the district said that in the last 24 hours, 1,305 samples were tested and 208 people were identified as Covid positive.
