Another 1.77Mn Sinopharm Shots Arrive in Dhaka

Another consignment of 1.77 million Sinopharm doses under the COVAX program have arrived in Dhaka from Beijing today.

The Emirates Airlines flight carrying the vaccine landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7.50pm on Wednesday (August 11).

Maidul Islam Pradhan, senior information officer of the health and family welfare ministry, confirmed the information.

He said another 1.77 million doses of vaccine have arrived in the country from China under COVAX facility.

Earlier, Hualong Yan, Minister Counselor and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of China in Bangladesh confirmed about the vaccine arrival in a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon.
