All types of public transport will run from August 19. Besides, the government gave permission to open tourist centers, resorts, community centers and recreation centers. However, no more than 50 percent of the total seats can be used.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday (August 12).

It said all types of public transport will be able to operate on roads, railways and waterways following the hygiene rules until further notice on August 19. In addition, tourist centers, resorts, community centers and recreation centers will be able to function using 50 percent of the seats.

The notification further said that the wearing of masks should be ensured in all cases and the hygiene rules framed by the Department of Health should be followed properly. In case of non-compliance with the hygiene rules in any organization, the concerned authorities will take responsibility and legal action will be taken against them.

Considering the overall situation in the country, the government has relaxed the strict restrictions on coronavirus prevention from Wednesday (August 11th). Government-private, autonomous offices, banks and financial institutions have also opened in compliance with the health rules.
