Another 200 Tonnes of Liquid Oxygen Arrive from India

A special train named 'Indo Bangla Oxygen Express' carrying 200 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen arrived in Bangladesh from India on Sunday morning, reports media.

This is the eighth shipment of oxygen that came from India. So far, a total of 1,600 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen has arrived in Bangladesh from India. 

The special train carrying 10 containers of liquid oxygen set out from India’s Jamshedpur reached the Bangabandhu Bridge Western Railway Station at Sirajganj around 8:30am on Sunday through Benapole land port, said Benapole immigration authority.

The oxygen will be supplied to various hospitals in the country after being transferred from the train tanker to a road tanker in Narayanganj depot, said importer Linde Bangladesh.
