Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Moha. Shafiqul Islam said intelligence was on the alert for those who had fled the country at the influence of the Taliban, an armed group that had recently seized power in Afghanistan. They will be arrested and brought under the law if they try to enter Bangladesh.

He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at his office on Monday (August 16).

The DMP commissioner said, "How many people from Bangladesh have gone to Afghanistan or how many are staying there - all this information is available from our country's intelligence." If Afghan returnees try to enter Bangladesh, they will be arrested and brought to justice.

He said if someone’s child or student suddenly leaves the house without saying anything to anyone, there is no contact with him; This information should be reported to the police immediately.
