Bangabandhu Gold Medal Introduced at DU

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have introduced the 'Bangabandhu Gold Medal' which will be given for special contribution in education, culture, science and literature.

The decision was taken today at a meeting of the board of governance of Bangabandhu Research Institute for Peace and Liberty, chaired by DU Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, said a press release.

The award will be given each year on March 17, the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, starting from 2022.

Bangabandhu Research Institute for Peace and Liberty will give the award each year for special contribution in education, culture, science and literature.
