Haque said, "According to Section 401 of the Criminal Procedure Code,
Khaleda Zia has the opportunity to go abroad for treatment subject to the
government's permission." In that case, she will have to go to jail again.
Then she has to appeal again."
He made the
remarks at a workshop for journalists in the capital on Saturday (August 26th).
The workshop was jointly organized by Law Reporters Forum and MRDI.

Anisul Haque said, "In the light of the request that BNP chairperson Begum
Khaleda Zia's sentence has been suspended and released, there is no chance to
allow her to go abroad." That application has been disposed of. '
Meanwhile, the
law minister has advised the attorney general to form a bench in the high court
to hear the death references and appeals of the convicts in the August 21
grenade attack case.
"I have
asked the attorney general to apply for a bench before the court recess on
September 15 on the appeal filed by the accused," he said.
Responding to a
question from reporters on the Digital Security Act, the minister said,
"On social media, people insult each other, humiliate each other, share
videos, photos and status." So there is a need for digital security act.
But steps are being taken to stop the abuse of this law. In the last three
months, the misuse of the digital security law has come down a lot. '
