'Educational Institutions Will Be Shut Down Again If Infections Surge'

Education Minister Dipu Moni on Saturday said the educational institutions will be shut down again if Covid-19 infections increase in the country.

Dipu Moni came up with the same comments Health Minister Zahid Maleque made on Friday, reports media.  

“After a long 17 months, all the educational institutions (schools and colleges) of the country are going to be reopened from Sunday. The coronavirus infection is less likely to surge if health rules are followed properly,” she told the media before attending a programme of Awami League at Jamalpur Circuit House.

“Even then, if infections start rising, educational institutions will be closed again if necessary.”
