Writ in HC Seeking Info about Assets of Rajarbagh Darbar Sharif

A writ petition has been filed in the High Court seeking directions to file details of all assets of Rajarbagh Darbar Sharif.

Advocate Shishir Monir filed the writ petition in the High Court on Thursday (September 18) on behalf of the 8 victims.

The petitioners include children, women, children of freedom fighters, madrasa teachers and businessmen. Each of them is the victim of a harassment case against the Pir of Rajarbagh Darbar Sharif and their followers.

The writ petition would be heard in the High Court bench comprising Justice M Inayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman.

A total of 20 people, including the senior secretary of the public security department of the home ministry and the IGP, have been named as defendants in the writ petition.
