Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has instructed the army personnel to be ready to accept the highest sacrifice in any need of the country.

He gave the directive while addressing as the chief guest at the annual conference of the Army Corps of Military Police, CMP at Savar Cantonment on Tuesday (September 26) morning.

Shafiuddin Ahmed said, “In order to build the Bangladesh Army as a modern army, everyone should be sincere about building confidence, mutual trust, sympathy and brotherhood in the implementation of 'Forces Goal 2030'.”

At this time, the Chief of Army Staff inaugurated a memorial built-in memory of 16 martyred heroic freedom fighters of CMP and exchanged greetings with the family members of the martyrs. Later, the Chief of Army Staff planted a sapling of a tree there.

Earlier, the Army Chief unveiled the nameplate of the auditorium at the CMP Center paying homage to the late Prime Minister's Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin Bir Bikram.
