Petition to Issue Arrest Warrant against Nasir-Tamima

Plaintiff's lawyer has requested the court to issue an arrest warrant for Nasir Hossain, Tamima Sultana Tammi, and Tamima's mother Sumi Aktar.

On Thursday, plaintiff's lawyer Ishrat Hasan presented the investigation report to Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Md Jashim's court (September 30). The court stated that it will issue an order in this regard later.

Nasir, Tamima and Tamima’s mother Sumi Aktar have been made accused in the probe report.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) in its investigation report submitted today claimed to have got authenticity of the allegation made by Tamima Sultana’s former husband Rakib Hasan that Tamima married the cricketer before divorcing him.

Earlier, PBI was asked to submit its investigation report on 30 March.

According to the case statement, Tamima got married to Rakib Hasan on February 26, 2011 and they had a daughter. Later, Tamima allegedly got married to cricketer Nasir without divorcing her husband Rakib Hasan.

Tamima’s husband Rakib Hasan filed the case against her on February 24.
