188 More Dengue Patients Hospitalized in Bangladesh || Photo; Collected

A total of 188 more dengue patients were hospitalized across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours ending at 8:00 am on Saturday.

With these, the Aedes mosquito-borne viral disease has claimed the lives of 68 people and 18,550 people have been hospitalized with dengue across the country since January, said a Health Emergency Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services press release on Saturday.

In the 24 hours, 158 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 30 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Among the total 68 deaths since January, 12 died in July, 34 died in August and 22 in September, official statistics showed.

Sixty three of the 68 people were from the capital city, two each from Chattogram and Khulna divisions and one from Rajshahi division.

No death was reported between January-June.
