Although the residential
halls for the graduate’s fourth year and postgraduate students of Dhaka
University will be opened on Tuesday, the halls will also be opened for the
students of other years (first, second and third year) from October 10. All
year class activities (class-examinations) of all departments-institutes will
start from 16 October.
These decisions were taken
at a meeting of the Provost Standing Committee of Dhaka University this evening.
The halls of the university have been opened only for the fourth-year
undergraduate and postgraduate students from 8 am today, subject to at least
one dose of vaccination certificate and valid university identity card.
After the meeting of the
Provost Standing Committee, the Vice-Chancellor (Education) of the University,
ASM Maqsood Kamal, told the media that all year’s class activities (class-examinations)
of all departments-institutes will start from 16 October.
From now on, there will be
six working days instead of five days to end the session jam. There will be a
weekly holiday only on Friday. In addition, class activities will continue every
day.
AKM Golam Rabbani, member
secretary of the university's proctor and provost standing committee, said the
halls would be open for first, second and third-year residential students from 8 am on October 10.
