World Sees a Rise in Coronavirus Infections, Deaths

Coronavirus infections and deaths have increased again worldwide. More than 8,000 more people have died and about 4.5 lakh people have been infected with the virus across the world in a day.

A total of 8,202 more people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 48,40,312. On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 7,676 in the previous day.

Besides, some 4,53,910 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 23,70,79,552. But a day before, the number of daily coronavirus cases was 4,20,407.

Meanwhile, some 21,42,46,675 people have made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Thursday (October 07) morning.
