Qcoom Official RJ Nirob Placed On Remand

A Dhaka court has granted RJ Nirob, head of sales, communication and public Relations at e-commerce platform Qcoom Limited, a one-day remand in a case filed over embezzling Tk56.57 lakh, reports media.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akter passed the order on Friday.

Earlier, the investigation officer of the case produced Nirob before the court and sought a five-day remand.

On Thursday, a customer of Qcoom, filed the case against RJ Nirob with Tejgaon Industrial Police Station.

RJ Nirob was arrested from his Adabor residence of the capital Friday.

On October 3, the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Qcoom chief executive officer Md Ripon Mia.

He was arrested in a case filed by a customer under the Digital Security Act (DSA) with the Paltan police station.

The next day, Ripon Miah was placed on a two-day remand.
