80% of Population Will Be Vaccinated by April: Health Min

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said 50 per cent of the country's population would be vaccinated between December-January and 70-80 per cent between March and April.

"We've bought vaccines since no one thought of vaccines, now we have enough vaccines," he said. In the meantime, we have been able to bring 25 percent of the people under the vaccine.

Health Minister was speaking as the chief guest at an exchange of greetings and grant-in-aid program with the Pujamandap Celebration Committee at Shuvro Center in Garpara area of ​​Manikganj Sadar Upazila on Saturday (October 9).

"We didn't know about the new virus," he said. But under the direction of the Prime Minister, we have been able to control the coronavirus infection…. Starting from that situation, we are much better now.

Zahid Maleque said there are currently 18,000 beds and 800 labs across the country for Covid-19 treatment. All major hospitals in the country have central oxygen lines. Covid-19 patients have been able to go to the hospitals for treatment.
