PM Mourns Death of Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ekushey Padak winning rhyme writer and journalist Rafiqul Haque, popularly known as "Dadu Bhai" who was reputed for his excellent rhymes.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai breathed his last at his own residence at 11 am on Sunday.

He left behind his two sons and one daughter and many well-wishers to mourn his death.  

Dadubhai was born on January 8 in 1937 in Rangpur. He was the founder of ‘Chander Hat’ an organization of children and adolescent. 

He was the winner of some renowned awards including Bangla Academy Award and Bangladesh Shishu Academy Award. 

He also served as a Feature Editor of Daily Jugantor. He was also the Executive Editor of Dainik Janata.
