The bodies of a woman and her two children have been recovered from a house in the Mohammadpur area of ​​Chattogram's Panchlaish police station.

Police arrived at the scene around 10 am on Friday (October 15).

The deceased were identified as Sumita Khanam, 30, her son Sun, two-and-a-half years old and daughter Moon, 6. Sumita Khanam's husband Sohail Rana has been taken into police custody for questioning.

Shahidul Islam, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Panchlaish Circle, said, "I came to the house of Ismail Colony in Mohammadpur area after getting the news in the morning." The door was then found locked from the inside. Later I broke down the door and entered the room and saw the bodies of mother and son hanging with the fan. And the girl's body is lying in the room. She has bruises on his neck.

Police, members of the CID's Crime Scene, and Counter-Terrorism Unit are now present at the scene. The bodies will be sent to the hospital for autopsy, said Shahidul Islam.
