HC Removes Writ Petition of Implementing Women's Harassment Prevention Verdict

The High Court has removed the writ petition, which seeking implementation of the court’s judgment to prevent sexual harassment of women and children in the workplace and campus, from its hearing schedule.

The High Court bench of Justice Md Mojibur Rahman Mia and Justice Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order on Monday (October 25).

Advocate Syeda Nasrin and Advocate Mohammad Shahinuzzaman were in favor of the writ petition.

Later, Advocate Md. Shahinuzzaman said he would file the writ petition in another bench of the High Court.

Earlier, on October 21, a writ petition was filed seeking implementation of the High Court's order to prevent sexual harassment of women and children in the workplace and campus. In the writ petition, 40 secretaries including the public administration secretary were made defendants. Advocates Syeda Nasrin and M Shahinuzzaman filed the writ petition on behalf of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
