Bangladesh's ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 due to a hamstring injury. Bangladesh will have to play without Shakib in the remaining two matches of the World Cup Super-Twelve. A source in the national team confirmed the matter to the media.

Shakib left the field after suffering a hamstring injury in Bangladesh's last match against West Indies in Sharjah. The left-arm all-rounder then bowled four overs back on the field. After the injury, he also started batting in the opening.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said it would then monitor Shakib for three days. However, it is known today that the Bangladesh team is not getting Shakib in the remaining two matches of the World Cup.

When Shakib was asked about this, he did not comment, said several media.
