SSC Examinee Dies during Exam in Netrokona

A student passed away Sunday during SSC examination at an exam center in Netrokona’s Kalmakanda, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Praparoli Hagidak (17), student of Hatgobindapur High School in Kalmakanda and daughter of Santosh Mrong of Madhukura village in Kalmakanda.  

The incident occurred around 12:30 pm at the examination center of Kalmakanda Government College.

Culip Mrong, center secretary of Kalmakanda Government College exam center, said Praparoli fainted and fell on the floor at around 10 am, just before the exam started.

She was immediately treated by a medical team led by the resident medical officer of Kalmakanda Upazila Health Complex. After recovering a bit she took part in the exam. But towards the end of the exam, she suddenly fell off her seat again, he said.

After being taken to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared her dead. Doctors suspected had anemia and died, he added.
