Pakistan won the first of the two-Test series against Bangladesh by eight wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Tuesday, reports media.

The visitors needed 93 more runs to win on day five and they did that in exactly two overs in the morning session, though they lost two wickets end route that hardly changed the course of the game.

Abid Ali might find himself misfortunate as he missed a chance of scoring hundreds in both innings, he was out for 91 runs after scoring 133 runs in the first innings.

Debutant Asadullah Shafique also missed out on registering a hundred on debut, he scored 52 in the first innings and 73 in the second innings.

Babar Azam (13*) and Azhar Ali (24*) guided Pakistan to the victory and Bangladesh once again started their journey of their World Test Championship with a defeat.
