Order to Dispose Harmony Disturbance Cases within 90 Days

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has directed that all cases related to the disturbance of communal harmony be disposed of within 90 working days.

This information was given in a circular signed by the Registrar General of the Supreme Court Mohammad Ali Akbar on Wednesday (December 1).

The statement said, "All the lower criminal courts and tribunals in the country have been directed to settle the cases within 90 working days of receipt of the chargesheet in the court of law."

The court administration has directed to send an explanation to the Bangladesh Supreme Court stating the reasons for failing to settle the case within the stipulated time.
