Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 28 Thousand

In the 24 hours leading up to 8 am Sunday, Bangladesh recorded six Covid-19-related deaths and 197 more patients tested positive for the virus. With the newest updates, the death toll in the country has risen to 28,001, while the number of cases has risen to 15,77,443.

After testing 19,132 samples across the country, the current positivity rate was reported to be 1.03 percent.

On Saturday, Bangladesh recorded three deaths and 243 cases.

In addition, 226 patients were declared Covid-19-free in the last 24 hours, with a recovery rate of 97.77 percent.
