RAB Quizzes Actor Emon over Leaked Phone Call with Murad

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officials quizzed actor Mamnoon Hasan Emon about the leaked phone conversation between former State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan and actress Mahiya Mahi.

On Tuesday, he was quizzed at RAB headquarters.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, Director of the RAB Legal and Media Wing, confirmed the report and stated Emon himself visited the RAB headquarters around 6 pm.

Murad Hasan's two-year-old phone conversation with Emon and actress Mahiya Mahi went viral on social media recently.

Murad made "derogatory statements" about the actress, threatened her, and made an alleged indecent proposal to her in that audio tape.

Murad Hasan had submitted a letter of resignation to the Information Ministry on Tuesday, citing "personal reasons."

The former state minister for information was expelled by the ruling party's Jamalpur unit around 5:20 pm.
